Organic Camera is a camera app designed for taking photos, videos, selfies, and for providing front-camera lighting support through the Selfie Light feature. This Privacy Policy explains how Organic Camera works and how user privacy is protected.
Organic Camera is built on privacy-first, local-first, and offline-first principles. This means the app’s core functions run locally on the user’s device, without relying on an app server, without an account system, and without a cloud service.
Organic Camera does not own or use any app server at all. We do not use servers to receive, upload, store, process, read, analyze, or share users’ photos, videos, audio, faces, location, or personal files. All core app functions take place directly on the user’s device.
Our goal is simple: to help users capture moments with a natural, calm, and safe camera experience, without making users feel watched, tracked, or required to hand over their personal data.
Our Privacy Principles
Organic Camera is designed so that the camera experience remains under the user’s control. The app is not a cloud service, not a social network, not a photo-sharing platform, and not an online storage system.
For that reason, Organic Camera does not have a login system, does not have a user account database, does not have a media upload feature, does not have photo or video synchronization, does not have an advertising network, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not use third-party SDKs to collect user data.
Personal Data We Collect
Organic Camera does not ask users to create an account and does not ask users to enter personal data in order to use its core functions. The app does not collect names, in-app email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, photos, videos, face data, biometric data, gallery history, or data for advertising or profiling.
Because Organic Camera does not have an account system and does not have an app server, we do not have a user database containing users’ personal data.
Photos and Videos
Photos and videos taken using Organic Camera are processed locally on the user’s device. The app does not upload photos or videos to the internet, does not send them to a server, and does not store copies of user media online.
If a user chooses to save a photo or video, the file is saved directly to the user’s device through the iOS system and according to the permission granted by the user. Organic Camera does not provide cloud backup, a cloud gallery, or media synchronization across devices.
Internet Connection
Organic Camera’s core functions can run locally on the user’s device. Taking photos, recording videos, camera preview, using Selfie Light, and saving media do not require an Organic Camera server.
If the user’s device is connected to the internet, that connection may be used by Apple services for needs such as the App Store, purchases, subscriptions, app updates, or other Apple system services. However, Organic Camera itself does not use the internet to upload or process users’ photos, videos, or personal files.
Camera Access
Organic Camera requests camera access so users can see the camera preview, take photos, record videos, and use the front camera, rear camera, and Selfie Light feature.
Camera access is used only to run camera functions on the user’s device. Organic Camera does not use the camera to identify users, create face profiles, or conduct surveillance.
Microphone Access
Organic Camera may request microphone access when a user records video with audio. The microphone is used only to record sound as part of the video created by the user.
Organic Camera does not record sound in the background, does not upload audio to the internet, and does not store audio on a server because the app does not have any app server at all.
The app may also be used together with iOS accessibility features such as Voice Control. These features are managed by iOS. Organic Camera does not store, read, collect, or analyze users’ voice commands.
Photos / Gallery Access
Organic Camera may request Photos or Gallery permission only to save photos or videos to the user’s device. This access is write-only / save-only, which means the app can only write or save new media created by the user.
Organic Camera does not read the contents of the user’s gallery. The app does not see existing photos or videos, does not scan the user’s library, and does not take, analyze, upload, or share media that was previously stored on the device.
In other words, Organic Camera can help save new media, but it remains blind to the contents of the user’s gallery. Users can manage or revoke Photos permission at any time through iOS Settings.
Location
Organic Camera does not request access to the user’s location. The app does not track location, does not store the user’s GPS data, and does not use location for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.
Metadata
Saved photos and videos may contain standard technical metadata created by the iOS system, such as file creation time, resolution, media format, or other technical information commonly found in photo and video files.
Organic Camera does not create a metadata server, does not send metadata to the internet, does not use metadata to track users, and does not store users’ metadata in an app database.
Face Data and Biometrics
Organic Camera does not perform face recognition, does not identify faces, does not create face profiles, does not store face data, and does not collect biometric data.
If a user’s face appears in the camera preview or in a photo/video result, it is only part of the normal camera function running locally on the user’s device.
User Accounts
Organic Camera does not have an account system. Users do not need to create an account, log in, enter an email address, or create a profile to use the app.
Because there are no user accounts, Organic Camera also does not store usernames, passwords, user profiles, or an account database.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Organic Camera may offer subscriptions, free trials, or in-app purchases. All purchases, free trials, cancellations, and subscription management are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Organic Camera does not process payments directly, does not store users’ payment card information, and does not receive users’ full credit card data. To manage or cancel a subscription, users can use their Apple ID or App Store settings on their own device.
Analytics, Tracking, and Third-Party SDKs
Organic Camera does not use third-party analytics SDKs such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Meta SDK, AdMob, or other external tracking services. Organic Camera also does not use advertising SDKs, does not use IDFA for advertising, does not perform retargeting, and does not create user profiles for marketing purposes.
The app does not track users across apps or websites, does not sell personal data, and does not share user data with data brokers.
Within certain limits, the developer may see basic information provided by Apple through App Store Connect, such as download statistics, purchases, app performance, or anonymous crash reports. This information comes from Apple’s system and is used to help maintain the app, not to track users’ personal behavior outside the app.
Advertising
Organic Camera does not display ads, does not use advertising networks, and does not share user data for advertising purposes.
Local Storage and User Control
Organic Camera works with a local-first and offline-first approach. Photos and videos remain on the user’s device.
Users have control over the media they create, save, delete, or share. File security depends on the user’s device, iOS settings, and the user’s own choices, including if the user separately uses services such as Apple’s iCloud.
Accessibility
Organic Camera is designed to be used together with iOS accessibility features such as VoiceOver, Voice Control, and other system controls. These features are managed by iOS.
Organic Camera does not collect users’ accessibility data, does not store voice commands, and does not create profiles based on how users use accessibility features.
Children’s Data
Organic Camera is intended for general users and is not specifically directed to children. Organic Camera does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If a parent or guardian has questions about use of the app, they may contact us through the support email.
User Rights and Control
Users can control app permissions through iOS Settings, including camera, microphone, and Photos permissions. Users can also delete the app from their device at any time and manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple ID or the App Store.
Because Organic Camera does not have an app server and does not store a personal data database, there is no internal account or cloud data that needs to be requested for access, correction, or deletion from Organic Camera’s system.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if there are changes to features, technology, privacy practices, or legal requirements. If there are important changes, this page will be updated together with the latest update date.
